We’re delighted to be welcoming the very talented, folk outlier, David Jaycock to the brewery for an early evening gig on Saturday 29th April
He’s a BBC2 Folk Awards-nominated guitarist and composer and has released many records within the folk, electronic, psyche genres. His mysterious, atmospheric and evocative music has been released on a list of respected underground labels, like Blackest Rainbow, Static Caravan, Folklore Tapes and One Little Indian.
David even let us release an album with him (Murder and the Birds) in 2020, which received such warm and enthusiastic praise from those who found it. A slow-burning, remarkable piece of music and testament to his immense talent.
Here are some lovely things that people have said about his music:
“Too conceptual to be trad, too tuneful to be avant-garde, his is a music of edgelands, situated somewhere between David Tibet and Robyn Hitchcock.” Folk Radio
“…Truly beautiful, strange and unique" ***** MOJO Magazine
"A quiet genius" - James Yorkston
"An outstanding guitarist", The Guardian
